Perhaps most of the time, I start developing liking to a particular song(especially of Harris Jeyaraj) only after the movie music has been released and movie's been released too and gone back to the cans. It happened to this particular song too. Usually, when I used to be in India, I used to get to hear all new songs very soon, since my sister(Nikila) used to get the music of all movies in MP3 form really fast. But, I came here to US in August, after which the music if Ghajini was released, I brushed it aside. (the same way I did Khaka Khaka initially, but love the songs now). My roommate, Praveen, told me of this song and I was not too captivated by it, since I felt it was too ordinary. Such a stupid decision..........
But, months passed and I listened to it quite often when my friend played it. But, never liked it even then...... But, somehow by the end of the year, when I watched the movie, I felt, this song was really special and out of ordinary and still don't know why? I am just dumbstruck when Bombay Jeyashree sings 'Mazhay Azhaga, Veiyil Azhaga, konjum bothu mazhai azhagu, kobapattal Veiyil Azhagu, kanna nee kobapattal veiyil azhagu....".
But, I was not too happy seeing the video choreography, but loved the picturization and the locales. One of the wonderful songs in Tamil and will remain my personal favorites............
I have always felt on listening to Bombay Jayashrees' songs, why do music directors fail to exploit her? Another favorite number of mine, that make me crazy the same way is "Uyire En Uyire" in Totti Jeya........
Shall write about that soon.........
